The 51.5 hectare site is part of Toowoomba Regional Council and is located approximately 12 kilometres from Toowoomba’s CBD.

Birdwood Sanctuary Estate is set in the centre of a carefully cleared plateau and every block has wonderful views. Almost entirely surrounded by a conservation precinct with protected bushland flora and fauna, it is home to a huge variety of birds, including the rare black breasted button quail.

New plantings of Australian native trees and shrubs will line the streetscape and enhance the entry park.

There are 54 rural-residential allotments with areas ranging between 3,000 and 5,189 m² (most are around 4,000 m² or 1 acre), each with town water and underground power.
